Miriam Dolin

Miriam is originally from Louisville and moved to Memphis for college. In college she couldn’t sit still -- taking classes from as many departments and lending her hand in as many organizations as she possibly could. After college, Miriam taught kindergarten for one year in which each day was crazier than the day before. She realized that she loved the school environment and teaching children, but that snotty-nosed five-year-olds weren’t quite her forte. With her husband, she moved to Dublin, Ireland for just over a year, experiencing Irish culture first hand as well as traveling all over Europe (oh yeah, and getting a Master’s degree in History). Back in Memphis, Miriam teaches US and World history and coaches the knowledge bowl team at St. Benedict at Auburndale high school. Outside of “work”, Miriam loves publications. She is currently a writer and photographer for the Lamplighter newspaper with some other projects on the side. Any kind of photography -- from fine art to journalism -- brings wind to her sails!
