Elana Kepner

Elana Kepner

Elana is finishing up her MFA in Acting at UMKC, and there is light at the end of the tunnel! In Kansas City, she shot her boyfriend in the head (The Lieutenant of Inishmore at the Unicorn), killed a king (In Spite of Thunder: the Macbeth Project at the Coterie), fell in love with an ass (A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Utopian Players) learned to speak and survived the war (Translations and Taking Sides with Actor’s Theatre of Kansas City). Elana has also understudied for Kansas City Repertory Theatre’s productions of The Glass Menagerie, King Lear, and The Syringa Tree. At UMKC she was seen in Tartuffe, The Long Goodbye, The Cure at Troy, and Present Laughter. Elana hails from the San Francisco Bay Area, where she played the title role in the U.S. Premier of Ariel for Wilde Irish Productions and Rosalind for the Valley Shakespeare Festival’s As You Like It. Thanks to my love Jason, Mom, Dad, Kyle, and Millie, the cutest mutt ever!
