Matthew Crewse

Matt was born and raised near Selmer, TN in a small town of less than 1,000 people. He is a recent graduate of the University of Memphis, where he received the Dean's Creative Achievement Award for Theatre. Acting credits include Much Ado About Nothing, Parade, Noises Off, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, As You Like It (Ostrander Nomination), Assassins, Animal Farm (Ostrander Award), Othello (TSC), and Romeo and Juliet (TSC). Matt is the author of a few short plays, including Snow White: A Fractured Fairy-Tale, An American Parable, and the series Shancock and Croom. He served as music director for the first non-equity production of tick, tick... Boom! and has composed music for Driving Around in Troikas, The Umbrella Maker, and several Chatterbox productions. Matt is almost finished with the music, lyrics, and book for his musical True Love Stalks(!) and is currently teaching acting, Shakespeare, stage combat, and music.
