Shannon King

A native Memphian, Shannon can usually be found frolicking (barefoot) or reading in the sun. Like Superman, she gains her strength from that giant mass of incandescent gas. However, when not saving the world, she can be found devoting her soul and spirit to any component of theatre that she can find. She loves to read, write, perform, attend, and costume theatre. She dreams of playing Enjolras in Les Miserables, but understands that her odds of being cast are low due to her lack of testosterone. Refusing to let this trivial barrier get in her way, she can often be seen trying to start a revolution in the McCoy Theatre whilst singing ‘Red and Black.’ She seeks out every opportunity to smile and is learning to embrace her short stature.
