Julia is the Director of Education and Outreach at Germantown Community Theatre. She is an experienced director, producer, teaching artist, and performer. As an actress, she was most recently seen in Lysistrata and the Death of Cupid at Rhodes College. She recently directed Madeline's Christmas and Crimes of the Heart at GCT and 'Otherhood with Playwright's Forum.
Julia received her BFA in theatre from the University of Memphis in 2002. She is a founding member of the Breezeway Theatre Company, a new works company working in Memphis and Massachusetts. With BTC she originated roles in several new shows, including Love Apples the Musical, Modern Love, and a workshop of To the Teeth. Julia has also developed and produced new works such as The Shorty Hawkins Play, Love Apples the Musical, and Bit. She performed and produced over 30 shows with Giggle Jones, a sketch comedy troupe in Memphis. Some of Julia's favorite onstage experiences include: House of Blue Leaves, Taming of the Shrew, Keeping up with the Joneses, Charley's Aunt, and Three Sisters.
