Tom Badgett

Tom is the Chief Information Officer, co-founder, and Secretary of the Board of IdleAire Technologies. In addition to general corporate duties, Tom manages IdleAire's Software Development, Information Technology (Servers, Wide Area Networks, Local Area Networks), Office of Information Services, and Customer Care departments.

Prior to joining IdleAire, he was co-founder, Chief Information Officer, and Board Secretary of United States Internet, Inc. (USIT), where his duties included press relations, corporate communications, and technical strategies. He designed, implemented, and managed USIT's technical support division (helpdesk and customer service).

Tom is a prolific writer, having published more than 50 books and hundreds of magazine articles for major U.S. and international publishers on technical topics from computer software to computer communications and security. He has also produced some 30 instructional videos and interactive DVD programs on similar topics, also marketed internationally. Tom has worked as a magazine writer and technical editor, a broadcast DJ and journalist, and a documentary producer for radio and television.

He holds a BA in Language and an MA in Documentary Film from the University of Tennessee.
